Acura TLX Gas Mileage Per Engine/Drivetrain Option

The Acura mpg ratings across its lineup of cars and SUVs are very impressive given the performance capabilities of these luxury vehicles, and the same is true for the TLX sedan. However, the Acura TLX mpg will vary depending upon which engine and drivetrain configuration you choose.

The Acura TLX, Technology, A-Spec®, and Advance packages come equipped with a Turbo Aluminum-Alloy 4-cylinder engine and either FWD or Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD®). The Acura TLX TYPE S and Acura TLX TYPE S Performance Wheels and Tires packages feature a Turbo Aluminum-Alloy 6-cylinder engine paired with SH-AWD®. Turbo Aluminum-Alloy 4-cylinder Engine with FWD:

• Highway MPG: 31 mpg*
• City MPG: 22 mpg*

Turbo Aluminum-Alloy 4-cylinder Engine with SH-AWD®:

• Highway MPG: 29 mpg*
• City MPG: 21 mpg*
• Horsepower: 272 hp
• Torque: 280 lb-ft

Turbo Aluminum-Alloy 6-cylinder Engine with SH-AWD®: 

• Highway MPG: 24 mpg*
• City MPG: 19 mpg*
• Horsepower: 272 hp
• Torque: 280 lb-ft

Note that the Acura TLX A-Spec® offers slightly different fuel economy numbers than the rest of the packages when equipped with front-wheel drive. The FWD Acura TLX A-Spec® gets an EPA-estimated 30 mpg/highway* and 22 mpg/city*. Furthermore, the Acura Advance package can only be equipped with SH-AWD®, meaning it features 29 mpg/highway* and 21 mpg/city*.
